Temple of the Scions[edit]
The room is lit with a faint red glow. An uneasy feeling touches all who enter. A large throne appointed with red silk and velvet sits on a dais at the far end. Above it on the wall is a portrait of the Empress of the Scions, a raven haired woman with pale skin in a close fitting red dress. Next to it, and slightly smaller, is a portrait of the great warrior Dezmond, Father of Evil and FullyCloven. On the other side of the main portrait, is another painting. This one is barely recognizable as a portrait, it has been slashed with blades and smeared with blood. The name on the placard reads Belerik, Lord of Coterie. The blood of those who refuse to swear fealty to the Empress is spread here as a reminder to all of the price of disobedience. There is a book on an ornate golden table in the center of the room, the pages made of skin, the ink of blood, the pen of bone.
